Notify, a technology provider specializing in nurse call and staff communication systems for senior living facilities, is expanding its Wisconsin operations to help healthcare providers modernize their communication infrastructure. The expansion is led by Erich Klett, the newly appointed Director of Strategic Partnerships, who brings over 16 years of experience in healthcare and senior living technology implementation.
The company's technological approach focuses on providing flexible solutions that do not require complete system replacement. Notify's flagship Overlay Platform enables communities to unify alerts and reporting across more than 25 nurse call system manufacturers, with installation possible in just hours without significant infrastructure changes. This platform addresses the challenge of disparate systems that often exist within senior living communities, particularly those that have grown through acquisitions or phased technology implementations.
The Notify Communications App complements this platform by offering secure, WiFi-based push-to-talk voice communication within a single building, presenting a modern alternative to traditional communication methods like radios. Greg Robertson, SVP of Growth at Notify, emphasized the importance of adaptable solutions that can work across diverse communities and legacy hardware, recognizing the unique challenges faced by Wisconsin healthcare providers in standardizing their communication systems.
As part of its expansion strategy, Notify is offering free pilot programs for both its Overlay Platform and Communications App. These pilots allow communities to test the technologies in live environments, with no infrastructure changes required and comprehensive onboarding support. This approach reduces the risk for facilities considering technology upgrades and provides tangible evidence of the systems' effectiveness before making long-term commitments.
Currently, Notify's solutions are implemented in more than 600 senior living communities nationwide, including several in Wisconsin. The company's approach aims to improve care coordination, increase operational visibility, and support caregiver retention without necessitating complete system overhauls. This expansion matters because it addresses critical communication challenges in senior living facilities, where efficient staff coordination directly impacts resident care quality and safety. The implications include potential improvements in response times to resident needs, reduced staff frustration with outdated communication methods, and better integration of technology across multi-facility organizations. For Wisconsin's aging population and the facilities serving them, this expansion represents an opportunity to enhance care delivery through modernized communication infrastructure that respects existing technology investments while moving toward more efficient, integrated systems.
