Aclarion, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACON, ACONW), a healthcare technology company that uses biomarkers and augmented intelligence to help physicians pinpoint the source of chronic low back pain, has appointed Daniel Keefe as Commercial Director for the Western United States. The move comes as the company reports triple-digit growth in utilization of its Nociscan platform and aims to deepen adoption in a key strategic region.
Keefe brings more than 20 years of experience in medical device and healthcare technology sales, including leadership roles at Centinel Spine, Brainlab, Zimmer Biomet, and Intuitive Surgical. Most recently, he served as Regional Sales Manager at Centinel Spine, where he consistently exceeded performance targets and delivered significant year-over-year growth across Northern California. According to Aclarion CEO Brent Ness, Keefe's "proven track record of driving commercial growth and expanding adoption of innovative surgical technologies" will be instrumental as the company expands its Western U.S. presence.
Aclarion has established a growing footprint across the Western U.S., with engagement spanning both academic institutions and high-volume private practice spine centers. The company's Nociscan platform is the first evidence-supported, cloud-based system to noninvasively help physicians distinguish between painful and nonpainful discs in the lumbar spine. It does so by objectively quantifying chemical biomarkers associated with disc pain using magnetic resonance spectroscopy data and proprietary algorithms. When all Nociscan-positive discs are treated, the platform demonstrates a 97% surgical success rate.
The global burden of chronic low back pain is immense, affecting an estimated 266 million people worldwide. Aclarion's technology addresses a critical diagnostic gap: traditional imaging often cannot determine which discs are actually causing pain. Nociscan provides objective insights that, when combined with other diagnostic tools, help physicians optimize treatment strategies. The company believes the platform represents a significant advancement in how chronic low back pain is evaluated.
"I'm excited to join Aclarion at a time when Nociscan is gaining meaningful traction across the clinical community," Keefe said. "The ability to provide physicians with objective insight into the source of pain represents a significant advancement. I look forward to working with physicians and spine centers across the Western U.S. to expand access to Nociscan and support its continued integration into clinical practice."
Keefe's appointment signals Aclarion's commitment to scaling its commercial operations amid rising demand. The company's technology is available through a cloud-based SaaS model, and it continues to build relationships with leading spine centers. A site map of Nociscan centers is available on the company's website at www.aclarion.com.
Aclarion's forward-looking statements in the press release caution that actual results may differ materially due to risks detailed in its SEC filings, including its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2025. The company undertakes no obligation to update these statements.
