The examination was conducted by an independent, licensed CPA firm and covered a recent reporting period, consistent with a Type 2 examination's focus on controls tested over time rather than at a single point.
A SOC 2 examination was developed by the American Institute of CPAs. It measures a service organization against the trust services criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. BridgeInteract's report addresses the criteria most relevant to its platform.
The distinction between the two report types matters for the healthcare organizations Bridge serves. A Type 1 report reviews whether controls are designed properly on a single date. A Type 2 report tests whether those controls operated effectively across an entire reporting period. For a provider organization weighing a vendor, that difference is the difference between a snapshot and a track record.

BridgeInteract is also compliant with the ONC Certification Criteria for Health IT and maintains a HIPAA-compliant environment, and meets the requirements of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) for the organizations it serves there. Security is not a one-time achievement at Bridge.
