Mitch Gould's career in retail distribution began with lessons learned around a family table in Brooklyn, where three generations of entrepreneurs discussed manufacturing and distribution. These early experiences laid the foundation for a career that would see him partner with America's largest retailers, including Walmart, Costco, CVS, Walgreens, and Amazon, and work with iconic brands and celebrities.
Gould's journey from Brooklyn to the boardrooms of retail giants was shaped by a global perspective gained from working with international companies and entrepreneurs. This worldview led to the creation of the Evolution of Distribution®, a business model that integrates sales, marketing, logistics, regulatory guidance, and public relations into a unified strategy for brands entering the U.S. market.
Over more than 40 years, Gould has helped place products with major retailers and built Amazon's sports nutrition category from the ground up, generating over $100 million. His client roster includes sports and entertainment legends such as Wayne Gretzky, Jimmy Connors, Hulk Hogan, Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal, and Ronnie Coleman.
The Evolution of Distribution® model combines product readiness, retail sales, logistics, regulatory guidance, marketing, and public relations to simplify market entry for growing brands. This approach has been instrumental in helping domestic and international brands successfully expand within the U.S. market.
Gould's career is chronicled in his memoir, The Blonde, The Ferrari, and The Kwan: A True American Story of Love and Success, which shares the personal experiences and defining moments behind his professional accomplishments. Despite his success, Gould believes his greatest opportunities still lie ahead.
"Every chapter of my career has built on the one before it," Gould said. "The lessons my family passed down in Brooklyn still guide every decision I make. Markets evolve, technology changes, and retail continues to transform, but integrity, relationships, and delivering results never go out of style."
Today, Gould continues working with emerging companies from around the world through his firm, Nutritional Products International (NPI), helping bring innovative health, wellness, food, beverage, beauty, and consumer products to American retailers and consumers. His work focuses on the evolving intersection of performance, wellness, and consumer demand for effective, results-driven products.
