MEDICLIN Reports Strong First Half of 2026 with Revenue and EBIT Growth

MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (Ticker: MED; WKN 659 510) reported consolidated group revenues of EUR 386.4 million in the first half of 2026, an increase of EUR 18.2 million or 5.0% compared to the prior year's EUR 368.1 million. Group EBIT rose by EUR 4.3 million to EUR 26.6 million, up from EUR 22.4 million in the same period last year. The company treated 54,708 patients in the first half of 2026, compared to 53,183 in the previous year.

Tino Fritz, CFO of MEDICLIN, commented on the results: "We were able to build consistently on the positive momentum from the first quarter. This is clearly reflected in our half-year results: stability in our core business areas, efficient cost management and targeted investments have helped us to achieve our earnings targets for the second quarter. We remain determined to maintain this momentum and to strengthen MEDICLIN's growth in the long term."

In the Post-Acute segment, revenues reached EUR 263.0 million, an increase of EUR 11.5 million or 4.6% from the prior year's EUR 251.5 million. The cost of materials ratio improved to 19.0% from 20.0%, with absolute cost of materials decreasing by 0.8% to EUR 49.9 million. Staff costs rose by 7.2% to EUR 145.2 million, leading to a staff costs ratio of 55.2% compared to 53.9%. EBIT for the segment improved by EUR 2.3 million to EUR 25.6 million.

The Acute Care segment generated revenues of EUR 111.2 million, up from EUR 104.6 million. Cost of materials increased by 12.2% to EUR 34.6 million, resulting in a cost of materials ratio of 31.1% versus 29.5%. Staff costs grew by 6.3% to EUR 68.6 million, with the staff cost ratio stable at 61.7% compared to 61.8%. EBIT remained at EUR -1.1 million, unchanged from the prior year.

Revenue in the Care segment rose slightly to EUR 12.3 million from EUR 12.1 million, while segment EBIT improved to EUR 0.2 million from EUR -0.2 million. In the Service segment, other income totaled EUR 69.2 million, up from EUR 68.5 million, and EBIT increased by EUR 1.4 million to EUR 1.9 million.

For the full financial year 2026, the management board expects consolidated group revenue growth of between 3.5% and 6.5% and group EBIT in the range of EUR 57.0 million to EUR 72.0 million. The interim report as at 30 June 2026 is available at www.mediclin.de in German and English.

These results underscore MEDICLIN's ability to execute on its strategic priorities, including cost management and targeted investments, which have contributed to improved profitability. The company's focus on integrated care across its network of 31 clinics, six care homes, and ten medical care centers positions it well to meet growing demand for rehabilitation and post-acute services in Germany.
