Regence Restructures Sales Leadership in Pacific Northwest to Enhance Regional Collaboration

Regence has announced significant leadership changes in its sales team for Washington and Oregon, aimed at fostering greater market collaboration and positioning the company for sustainable growth. The restructuring reflects the increasingly interconnected healthcare landscape in the Pacific Northwest. The new leadership team includes several key promotions and expanded roles. Stacy Crim, who previously served as vice president of small business in Washington, will now assume an expanded role as vice president of the Washington market. This position will include additional oversight of account management in the state. Renee Balsiger will continue to lead the Oregon market.

Stephanie Walker has been appointed vice president for the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) and public sector. Her expanded responsibilities will include overseeing all public-sector accounts in addition to her existing HCA business management. Tracy Olsen will take on an expanded role as director of new sales, now covering both Oregon and Washington. Michael Cole, president for Regence in both Oregon and Washington, emphasized the strategic rationale behind these changes. "Oregon and Washington have much more in common than they have apart, with employers, providers and brokers increasingly working across state lines," Cole stated. The new leadership structure is designed to better serve customers and communities across both states.

The appointed leaders bring extensive experience to their roles. Crim has 25 years of experience in healthcare account management and strategic planning, with a master's degree in health administration from the University of Washington. Balsiger brings over 30 years of industry experience working with employer groups in the Western market. Walker has more than three decades of experience in account management, product development, and healthcare operations. Olsen contributes two decades of experience in employee benefits and health insurance solutions in the Northwest. This leadership restructuring signals Regence's commitment to adapting to the evolving healthcare market, with a focus on regional collaboration and customer-centric approaches. By aligning leadership and expanding roles, the organization aims to create more integrated and responsive healthcare services across Washington and Oregon.
