SS Innovations Reports Record Q2 Revenue, Advances Global Expansion of SSi Mantra Surgical Robotic System

SS Innovations International (NASDAQ: SSII) announced record second-quarter 2026 revenue of $13.9 million, a 39.4% increase from $10 million in the same period last year. The company attributed the growth to a 30.4% rise in installations of its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system, reaching 30 units during the quarter. Gross profit climbed 20% to $7.1 million, with a gross margin of 50.9%. Despite the revenue surge, the company reported a net loss of $2.7 million, or $0.01 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $0.3 million a year earlier.

For the first half of 2026, revenue increased 65.6% to $25 million, while SSi Mantra installations grew 47.4% to 56 units. As of June 30, SS Innovations held $13.6 million in cash and cash equivalents, with no long-term debt and a cumulative installed base of 224 SSi Mantra systems across 12 countries. The company also reported 12,272 cumulative procedures using the SSi Mantra, including 175 telesurgeries. Notably, SS Innovations completed a robotic telesurgery spanning over 13,600 miles between Colombia and India, showcasing the system's remote capabilities.

The company expects the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to complete its review of the 510(k) premarket notification for the SSi Mantra by the end of the first quarter of 2027. Additionally, SS Innovations believes it can obtain European Union CE marking certification by the end of 2026. These regulatory milestones are crucial for expanding the system's global footprint and making robotic surgery more accessible worldwide.

The robust financial performance and regulatory progress underscore SS Innovations' mission to make robotic surgery affordable and accessible to a larger segment of the global population. The SSi Mantra system, along with its suite of SSi Mudra surgical instruments, supports various procedures, including cardiac surgery. As the company expands its presence internationally, the implications for healthcare providers and patients are significant, offering a cost-effective alternative to existing robotic surgical systems.

For investors and industry observers, the record revenue and growing installation base signal strong market adoption. The successful long-distance telesurgery demonstrates the potential for remote surgical procedures, which could revolutionize access to specialized care in underserved regions. With FDA clearance and CE marking on the horizon, SS Innovations is poised to compete more aggressively in the global surgical robotics market.

The company's financial health, with no long-term debt and a solid cash position, provides a stable foundation for continued expansion. As the SSi Mantra gains regulatory approvals, the impact on the surgical robotics industry could be substantial, potentially lowering costs and increasing accessibility to advanced surgical technology.
